Corporates asked to partner with Telangana Social Impact Group

Hyderabad: The corporate firms were asked to funnel their resources through Telangana Social Impact Group (T-SIG) for maximum impact. Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary, Industries & Commerce (I&C) and Information Technology (IT) Department, Government of Telangana asked the corporates to consider long term investments into Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) so that impact is sustainable.
He was speaking at ESG Conclave 2023 organised by the Hyderabad Software Enterprises Association (HYSEA) here. He was the chief guest at the event dedicated to driving positive social and environmental change. The conclave featured two dynamic roundtable discussions that garnered tremendous interest and participation.
On the occasion, he shared his perspectives on sustainable development and responsible business practices. The event brings together industry leaders, experts, government leaders, NGOs and other stakeholders to discuss how together they can shape the future of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and ESG practices. T-SIG was a key partner in organising the event.
The first roundtable, titled ‘Shaping the future of CSR’ brought together industry leaders, experts, and stakeholders to explore the transformative power of collaboration and volunteering in corporate social responsibility initiatives. Participants discussed sustainable community development, employee engagement, environmental conservation, social welfare, and shared best practices for effective CSR implementation.
The second roundtable ‘A Business imperative’ focused on the increasing significance of Environmental, Social, and Governance considerations as a critical business imperative. Esteemed leaders from the corporate, NGO, and government sectors exchanged valuable insights and explored ways to integrate ESG principles into core strategies, fostering sustainable and responsible business practices.
Amala Akkineni, Chairperson of Blue Cross, was the guest of honor. The conclave also featured a NGO Expo, which showcased the incredible work and initiatives of over 100+ NGOs. The vibrant platform provided an opportunity for networking, collaboration, and fostering meaningful partnerships between NGOs and various stakeholders.
